Educational Harvest Tours

Sorry we do not offer any price discounts, after-hours tours, or donut substitutes/alternatives.

We operate rain or shine; no re-booking is available as our calendar is typically booked solid. Teacher or group representative MUST collect all money from parents and students prior to tour (it makes for a quicker check-in process).

From September 22nd to October 31st, our Fall Educational Harvest Tour invites young ones, their families, and their class to see the farm through the eyes of the season. Open to groups both small (at least 30) and large (up to 150). Weekday tours last an hour and a half and start every half hour from 9:15 am to 2:15 pm.  Each tour offers a chance to step into the rhythms of harvest and learn more about the land that sustains us.

Tours Include -

  • Narrated Hayride Around the Farm
  • Bee Talk (students sit in the apple orchard, learn how bees pollinate and get to pick an apple)
  • Tire Maze (including photo ops and straw bale mountain)
  • U-pick Pumpkin Patch (small sugar pie pumpkin, 2-5 lbs, that students can carry)
  • Snack (mini pumpkin doughnuts and fresh pressed apple cider, see below for doughnut ingredients)
  • Penelope the Giant Talking Pumpkin (2025 will be her 51st year talking with local school kids, a true Green Bluff tradition!)
  • Frontier Village (grain silo, playground, and petting zoo: chickens, ducks, geese, sheep, goats, pigs, peafowl, and rabbits)

Pricing -

  • Students: $10.00 (every child must purchase a ticket, including siblings. Children younger than 12 months are free)
  • Adults: $10.00 (Every adult will need to purchase a ticket)
  • One teacher and one aid are free per classroom

*We accept cash, all cards (3.5% card fee applied to total), P.O.'s, Venmo, Crypto, and school checks (please no personal checks from parents) *

 -Important Information -

It is crucial that your group arrives at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.  This allows time for bus unloading and group organizing.  Starting late can throw the WHOLE DAY off and backs up everyone arriving after you.

If you are planning on bringing sack lunches to the orchard, please be prepared to haul lunch trash back to school. Pack it in, Pack it out! PLEASE NOTE: The covered picnic area is 300 ft (100 yards) from the Jam Shop. Carts are available to haul lunches to picnic area.

Attention Homeschool Groups:
As you prepare for your visit to the farm, we kindly ask that each group designate a leader before arriving, typically it's the person who booked the tour. Please ensure that everyone in your group knows who the leader is ahead of time. This helps us welcome you more smoothly and ensures everyone gets started on the right foot.
